Apply to AIM
Driven by Performance. Built for Long-Term Development.
AIM (Athletes in Motion) is a high-performance coaching environment for athletes 12+ in sprints (100–400m) and middle distance (800–3000m). Our programmes are selective and readiness-based to ensure every athlete is placed where they can develop safely, sustainably, and competitively.
What the Application Is
The Expression of Interest (EOI) is the first step. It helps us understand:
- your event group, current training, and recent results
- your goals and competition pathway (school, national, international, US college)
- your readiness for structured, progressive programming
- your availability, support needs, and communication preferences
Submitting an EOI does not guarantee acceptance — it starts a conversation.
Who AIM Is Best For
AIM is a strong fit if you (or your athlete) are:
- committed to consistent training and coachability
- motivated by long-term development, not shortcuts
- ready for a structured plan with accountability
- focused on performance progression through school, club, and national pathways
What Happens Next
After you submit the EOI:
- We review your application against readiness and pathway fit
- If aligned, we book a short readiness conversation (athlete + parent/guardian if U18)
- You’ll receive a clear next step: programme placement, waitlist, or development recommendations
We aim to be prompt, direct, and transparent.
Before You Apply
Please note:
- AIM is not an athletics club — athletes still compete for their school and Athletics NZ–affiliated club (or overseas equivalent).
- Our role is coaching, performance preparation, and athlete development.
- For athletes under 18, parents/guardians are recognised as essential partners.
